This afternoon (December 12), the Academy of Journalism and Propaganda and the People's Public Security Academy of Politics announced the organization of a National Scientific Conference with the theme "The issue of ensuring ideological security in Vietnam under current conditions".
Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Minh Son - Director of the Academy of Journalism and Communication - emphasized: The workshop contributed to a comprehensive and objective assessment of the current situation of ensuring ideological security in Vietnam in recent times.
Through the Workshop, we propose orientations, tasks, solutions, and recommendations for the Party, the State, management agencies, and specialized forces in charge of ensuring ideological security, contributing to continuing to effectively implement Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW dated October 22, 2018 of the Politburo (12th tenure) on strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation.
Speaking at the conference, Prof. Dr. Le Van Loi - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics - said that ideological security is one of the core issues of political security and national security. In every revolutionary period, the Communist Party of Vietnam has always paid special attention to the work of protecting the Party, protecting the Party's ideological foundation, and ensuring security in the ideological field.
Notable among them are Resolution No. 35-NQ/TU dated October 22, 2018 of the Politburo on "Strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation"; Resolution No. 51-NQ/TU of the Politburo on the national security protection strategy.
In recent times, under the leadership of the Party, the work of ensuring ideological security in Vietnam has achieved many successes, with many positive changes, mobilizing the combined strength of the entire political system, the participation of Party committees at all levels, Party organizations, the Fatherland Front, and socio-political organizations. Thereby, creating a combined strength, a position of people's hearts in protecting the Party's ideological foundation, firmly ensuring national ideological security.
In particular, the specialized forces to ensure ideological security, especially the People's Public Security force, have been built in a disciplined, elite, and modern manner, always maintaining a proactive strategic position in national security, early detecting and promptly handling many complicated issues and incidents related to ideological security, building an orderly, disciplined, safe, and healthy society, actively participating in the struggle, effectively refuting erroneous and hostile viewpoints..., contributing to the development of the country.
At the workshop, delegates focused on discussing and clarifying a number of main contents, such as: Theoretical and practical basis for strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints; the current situation of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints; issues, solutions and recommendations on improving the quality of work on protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints in the current situation. The workshop provided useful scientific arguments for ensuring ideological security in Vietnam under current conditions.
