On the morning of August 1st, the Endurance-class landing ship RSS Persistence of the Singapore Navy docked at Cam Ranh International Port, beginning a courtesy visit to Khanh Hoa province from August 1st to 5th.

The delegation was led by Colonel Siswi Herlini - Commander of the Singapore Maritime Training and Doctrine Command - as head of the delegation; Lieutenant Colonel Hu Junjie Daniel as captain, along with officers, sailors and trainees participating in the visit.
Colonel Nguyen Hai Chau - Deputy Chief of Staff of Naval Region 4 - chaired the welcoming ceremony for the delegation.
Also participating in welcoming the delegation were representatives of agencies under the Ministry of National Defense, the Navy, the Vietnam Coast Guard, the Military Command of Khanh Hoa province and the 20th Corps.

According to the program, during their stay in Khanh Hoa, the ship command team will pay a courtesy visit to leaders of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, Naval Region 4 and Naval Academy.
In addition, officers, sailors and trainees of the ship will participate in exchanges with officers and trainees of the Naval Academy and visit some cultural sites in the locality.
The visit of the Singapore Navy ship is expected to contribute to strengthening cooperation, understanding and mutual trust between the Vietnamese and Singaporean Armies in general, as well as between the two countries' navies in particular.
