Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the main bridge point - Starting ceremony of the Bat Mot Primary and Secondary Boarding School Project.
Also attending the ceremony were Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son; Lieutenant General Tao Duc Thang - Chairman and General Director of the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (Viettel); Standing member of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee; leaders of departments, branches, localities and a large number of people.
In Bat Mot commune, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the working delegation visited the Commune Administrative Service Center, had an intimate talk, and visited officials and people. After that, the Prime Minister attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the Bat Mot Inter-level Boarding School for Primary and Secondary Schools.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the significance of the projects that were started and inaugurated this time in Thanh Hoa, and welcomed the province for selecting practical projects to celebrate the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
Education is the top national policy, the top priority. Investing in education is investing in development. Recently, the Politburo issued Resolution 71 on continuing to invest in education and training - more comprehensive, comprehensive, and inclusive. In that spirit, the Politburo decided to invest in the construction of 248 boarding schools for primary and secondary schools in border provinces, including Thanh Hoa the Prime Minister emphasized.
According to the Prime Minister, Thanh Hoa has 16 border communes and will invest in 16 boarding schools. The Bat Mot Primary and Secondary Boarding School project is the first project to be implemented, so it needs to receive consensus and support from the people. The Prime Minister also noted that for households donating land to implement the project, localities must quickly arrange suitable resettlement land.
The Prime Minister requested that during the project implementation process, progress and quality must be ensured, absolutely no negativity, embezzlement, or corruption must occur. The project needs to be completed quickly, beautifully, sustainably, demonstrating the affection and concern of the Party and State for teachers and students in the border area.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presented many meaningful gifts to students in the border commune of Bat Mot.
In addition to the main bridge in Bat Mot commune, the remaining 3 bridges include: Inauguration ceremony of the Children's Cultural Palace and Hac Thanh Ward Sports Center; Starting ceremony of the Social Housing Project in Ham Rong Ward and Starting ceremony of the WHA Smart Technology Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment, Construction and Business Project - Thanh Hoa. All connecting points have the participation of provincial leaders, representatives of departments, branches and a large number of people.
Bat Mot is a border commune bordering Laos, in the old Thuong Xuan district. At the end of August, the locality suffered heavy damage due to storm No. 5 (Kajiki).
The Bat Mot Primary and Secondary Boarding School project is built on an area of 1.5 hectares, with a total investment of about 170 billion VND. The project includes 22 classrooms, 12 department rooms, a multi-purpose house, a library, a boarding area for 260 students and a public house for 25 teachers, meeting the standards of a national standard school at level 2. This is a project of profound humanitarian significance, expected to contribute to improving the quality of education in the border area of Thanh Hoa.
