According to Ms. Tuyet, her child was born in Ho Chi Minh City, and the hometown information on her child's birth certificate is Ho Chi Minh City. This is also her husband's temporary residence address in 1999, while her husband's hometown is Bac Lieu province.
"What should I do if I want to make an ID card for my child? Can I use the birth certificate to upload to the National Public Service Portal to change the hometown information to Ho Chi Minh City on the National Population Database, or do I have to correct the hometown information in the birth certificate?" - Ms. Tuyet wondered.
Regarding Ms. Tuyet's opinion, the Ministry of Public Security has responded to this content on the Electronic Information Portal.
The Ministry of Public Security said that in order to make an ID card, the citizen's information declared in the ID file must match the citizen's information in the National Population Database.
In the case of Ms. Le Thi Tuyet's child not being issued an ID card due to discrepancies in information with the information on the National Population Database;
In this case, the hometown of Ms. Le Thi Tuyet's child is determined according to Ms. Tuyet's hometown or Ms. Tuyet's husband's hometown depending on the agreement between the couple to correct the hometown information in the National Population Database system.
