On January 26, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs' Electronic Information Portal, the Ministry of Home Affairs held a Conference to summarize digital transformation work in 2024 and orientations for digital transformation tasks in 2025. Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Truong Hai Long - Deputy Head of the Ministry of Home Affairs' Digital Transformation Steering Committee - attended and chaired the Conference.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Standing Member of the Steering Committee for Digital Transformation of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Director of the Information Center - said that as of December 31, 2024, a total of 28/28 remaining tasks in the 2024 Digital Transformation Plan of the Ministry of Home Affairs had been completed according to the set schedule.
Under the direction of the Ministry's leaders and the efforts and determination of the heads of units and all civil servants, public employees and workers, the Ministry of Home Affairs has focused on completing many important tasks such as the Ministry of Home Affairs advising the Government to submit to the National Assembly for approval the Draft Law on Archives (amended and supplemented) on June 21, 2024; Issuing the Ministry of Home Affairs' e-Government Architecture version 3.0; Approving the National Academy of Public Administration Project;
Piloting data entry software according to state management requirements and account management according to competent authorities for 3 specialized databases serving the state management function of the Ministry; Building a specialized page for assessing the quality of civil servant input...
Concluding the Conference, Deputy Minister Truong Hai Long proposed a number of key plans and tasks for 2025.
Notably, Deputy Minister Truong Hai Long requested the Information Center to absorb and complete the 2025 Digital Transformation Plan of the Ministry of Home Affairs; submit a plan to perfect the Digital Transformation Steering Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs after merging with the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.
Propose that the Ministry's Office hand over the data of the national database on Cadres and Civil Servants to the Department of Civil Servants and Public Employees to continue urging ministries, branches and localities to complete the updating of data to ensure "Correct - Sufficient - Clean - Live", put it into management, arrange cadres, exploit and use, and promote the most effective use value.
The Deputy Minister also requested relevant units to speed up the progress of submitting to the Ministry's leaders for approval of the Ministry's Phase 2 Digital Transformation Project; continue to complete, supplement, update, and build the current specialized databases of the Ministry and the specialized database of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs after the merger to create a digital data warehouse of the Ministry to ensure connection, sharing, and promoting data value.
The Department of Organization and Personnel proactively proposed a plan to foster skills in using artificial intelligence (AI) to respond to the "AI Popular Education" movement launched by General Secretary To Lam to serve the purpose of improving the "Efficiency - Effectiveness - Efficiency" of the Ministry of Home Affairs' operations in the new era, ensuring practicality for cadres, civil servants, and public employees, close to the reality of public service activities.
