On December 9, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long - Deputy Minister of Public Security - sent a letter of commendation to the Director of the Criminal Police Department for his achievements in coordinating and successfully fighting to destroy the case, arresting 16 suspects who violated the law.
The content of the Letter of Commendation clearly stated that, in the past time, with a proactive and determined spirit, the Criminal Police Department has presided over and coordinated with the Representative Office of the Ministry of Public Security in Laos, along with a number of professional units and local police, to fight and arrest 16 subjects engaged in the illegal manufacture, purchase, sale, transportation and storage of military weapons; fraudulent appropriation of property; organizing gambling and gambling, preventing professional criminal plots and activities that harm the lives and health of people, seizing 11 guns, 1,400 bullets and many other documents and evidence of the case.
The letter of commendation from the Deputy Minister of Public Security said that this was an outstanding achievement, demonstrating the intelligence, sharpness in professional skills and high sense of responsibility of the Criminal Police Department in implementing the direction of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security on preventing and combating organized crime, transnational crime, and crimes using weapons and supporting tools to commit crimes.
The results of the special project have reflected the close and effective coordination between the professional units of the Ministry and the local police; at the same time, deterring and preventing crime, strengthening the people's trust in the People's Police force.
In the letter of commendation, the leader of the Ministry of Public Security also requested the Criminal Police Department to continue to coordinate with the police of related units and localities to investigate and expand the case, consolidate documents and evidence to strictly handle the subjects according to the provisions of the law.
