Accordingly, on September 16, 2024, Brigadier General Nguyen Ngoc Lam, Deputy Minister of Public Security, sent a letter of commendation to the Director of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police and the Chief of Thanh Hoa City Police for their achievements in dismantling a large-scale production and trading ring of counterfeit disease prevention and treatment drugs nationwide.
The content of the Letter of Commendation clearly states: The leaders of the Ministry of Public Security were informed: In the past time, the Thanh Hoa City Police, Thanh Hoa Province has effectively deployed professional measures, organized the fight, and destroyed a large-scale production and trading ring of counterfeit disease prevention and treatment drugs nationwide; arrested and prosecuted 7 subjects, seized 31,679 boxes of various types of drugs, 2.2 tons of additives, excipients, and many machines, equipment, documents, and evidence of the case.
This is an outstanding achievement, demonstrating the determination, high sense of responsibility, and sharpness in professional skills of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police in general and Thanh Hoa City Police in particular in implementing the direction of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security on preventing and combating crimes of manufacturing and trading counterfeit goods.
The results of the investigation and discovery of the case have contributed to protecting people's health, ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of businesses, creating a healthy business environment; at the same time deterring crime, strengthening people's trust in the People's Public Security force.
