On December 1, according to the Ministry of Public Security's Electronic Information Portal, on November 30, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long, Deputy Minister of Public Security, sent a Letter of Commendation from the Ministry of Public Security to the Thai Binh Provincial Police for their achievements in fighting and destroying a drug trafficking and illegal storage ring of large quantities of drugs from Laos and Son La to Thai Binh for consumption, arresting and prosecuting 13 subjects, seizing a total of more than 43kg of various types of drugs and many other evidences.
The content of the Letter of Commendation clearly stated: The leaders of the Ministry of Public Security were informed: Recently, the Thai Binh Provincial Police have focused on drastically and effectively implementing professional measures, fighting and destroying a ring of illegal drug trafficking and storage of large quantities from Laos and Son La to Thai Binh for consumption, arresting and prosecuting 13 subjects, seizing a total of more than 43kg of various types of drugs and many other evidences.
This is an outstanding achievement demonstrating the determination, high sense of responsibility, intelligence and sharpness of the Thai Binh Provincial Police, especially the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, in implementing the direction of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security's leadership on preventing and combating drug crimes and transnational crimes.
The dismantling of a large-scale drug crime ring has contributed to preventing the supply of drugs from abroad into the country, deterring and preventing crime, stabilizing security and order, and strengthening people's trust in the police force.
