On September 18, the Government Office announced that Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha had just signed Official Dispatch No. 167/CD-TTg of the Prime Minister on overcoming the consequences of a particularly serious traffic accident in Quang Tri province.
At 7:50 a.m. on September 17, in Tan Long market area, Lao Bao commune, Quang Tri province, a particularly serious traffic accident occurred caused by a truck with license plate 37C-587.63, killing 3 people and injuring 7 other victims.
Upon receiving information about the accident, the Prime Minister sent his warm and thoughtful condolences to the injured and expressed his deep condolences to the relatives and families of the deceased victims; at the same time, directed the leaders of Quang Tri province and the police and medical forces to the scene to overcome the consequences of the accident.
The Prime Minister requested the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the Head of the Traffic Safety Committee of Quang Tri province to direct the provincial authorities and functional units to arrange the best medical and medicinal facilities to treat the victims, minimize the loss of people's lives and property; organize visits, support and encourage the victims and families of the victims who died in the accident.
At the same time, urgently and directly chair meetings with agencies and functional forces to assess the causes and immediately deploy solutions to overcome shortcomings and inadequacies.
Urgently clarify the direct and indirect causes related to the above traffic accident, as a basis for propaganda and implementation of preventive solutions in the coming time.
The Prime Minister assigned the Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee to direct the inspection and review of compliance with legal regulations on road transport activities of transport business units for cars with license plate 37C-587.63, especially inspection of safety conditions of transport business vehicles; strictly handle violations by bus companies and vehicle owners (if any) in accordance with the provisions of law.
The Minister of Public Security directs the Quang Tri Provincial Police and the Public Security of relevant units to urgently investigate, clarify the cause of the accident and strictly handle in accordance with the provisions of law for organizations and individuals who violate regulations and cause the above accident.
Note to strictly handle drivers, vehicle owners or vehicle owners and related individuals in case of violations of regulations on vehicle safety conditions in the above accident.
At the same time, direct the police of units and localities to continue to maintain increased patrols and strictly control road transport activities by car.
Review the journey monitoring device system and camera on transport business cars, strictly handle violations in accordance with the provisions of law, especially violations of regulations on vehicle safety conditions.
