On the morning of May 26, Politburo Member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and the working delegation came to offer incense and flowers to commemorate heroic martyrs at the Can Tho City Martyrs' Cemetery.
Also attending were representatives of leaders of a number of central committees, ministries, and branches; members of the Central Working Delegation; leaders of Can Tho City; members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee; a number of members of the City Party Committee Executive Committee; leaders of city departments, agencies, and branches, and city armed forces.


In a solemn atmosphere, with sincerity, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and delegates attending the memorial service commemorated and expressed gratitude to the heroic martyrs, the outstanding children of the Vietnamese nation, who bravely sacrificed for the struggle to liberate the nation and protect the Fatherland.
So that today, our Fatherland, our rivers and mountains are connected in one strip, the country becomes increasingly rich and strong, and the homeland of Can Tho City develops faster and more sustainably, people have a warm, civilized, and happy life, and together with the whole country step into the era of rise of the Vietnamese nation.

Before the spirits of 3,805 Heroic Martyrs buried at the City Martyrs' Cemetery (Cai Rang ward) and 42,538 Heroic Martyrs throughout the city, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and delegates observed a minute of silence to express their respect, remembrance and deep gratitude to comrades and compatriots who bravely sacrificed and brought independence and freedom to the country today.
