According to VNA, after arriving in Kazan city, Tatarstan Republic, Russia, to attend the expanded BRICS Leaders' Conference, on the afternoon of October 23 local time, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had a meeting with representatives of the Embassy, Consulate General and the Vietnamese community in the Russian Federation. Also attending were Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son; leaders of ministries and sectors in the working delegation.
In a warm and friendly atmosphere, the Prime Minister expressed his joy at the growth of the Vietnamese community in the Russian Federation and shared the difficulties with compatriots in recent times due to the pandemic and other fluctuations.
The Prime Minister is pleased that Vietnamese people in the Russian Federation always promote the qualities of self-reliance, self-reliance, and national spirit to rise up as our ancestors taught: "High mountains have paths to climb/ Even dangerous roads have paths to take", and as President Ho Chi Minh affirmed: "Nothing is difficult/ Only fear that the heart is not steadfast/ Digging mountains and filling seas/ With determination, it will be possible".
Reviewing the long-standing tradition of relations between Vietnam and Russia, especially in labor cooperation, especially education and training, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that Vietnam has more than 40,000 students and postgraduates studying and researching in the former Soviet Union and present-day Russia in many fields.
The Prime Minister affirmed that the Vietnam-Russia cooperative relationship is comprehensive, all-encompassing, comprehensive, and profound in all areas. Through the ups and downs of history, the spirit of solidarity between the two nations has always been preserved and promoted in any circumstances, a legacy created and nurtured by generations of leaders and people of the two countries.
According to the Prime Minister, the Vietnamese community in Russia has many things in common with the Vietnamese community around the world, but has its own characteristics. The Vietnamese community in Russia is present and successful in all fields, united, unified, intelligent, contributing to promoting the image of Vietnam and the value of Vietnamese people in the host country.
The Prime Minister hopes that the second, third, and more generations of Vietnamese people in Russia in particular and around the world will increasingly grow in quantity and quality, develop stably, have their legitimate and legal rights and interests respected and protected, and contribute to fostering the Vietnam - Russian Federation Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Affirming that “Overseas Vietnamese are an inseparable part of the Vietnamese ethnic community”, the Prime Minister said that the Party and State always protect legitimate and legal rights and interests and build a community that is increasingly strong in both quantity and quality; there are many policies aimed at overseas Vietnamese.
Responding to people's requests and assigning ministries and branches to directly handle them, the Prime Minister commended the Embassy and Consulate General for their efforts in promoting Vietnam-Russia relations, caring for, building and protecting the Vietnamese community in the Russian Federation.
The Prime Minister wishes that the Embassy and Consulate General must be a support for the people, especially in times of difficulty and problems; request the Embassy to increase the application of technology, set up a hotline to receive, handle and help the people 24/7 promptly and effectively; hope that in any circumstances, the people will unite, support and help each other, succeed in every field, turn to relatives, family, brothers and friends in the country; contribute to building the country and fostering the increasingly good Vietnam - Russian Federation relationship.
