This is the first visit of a Kyrgyz head of government to Vietnam since the two countries established diplomatic relations. The visit contributes to promoting the Vietnam - Kyrgyzstan friendship, deepening the relationship between the two countries in all fields.
VNA reported that at Noi Bai International Airport, welcoming the delegation on the evening of March 5, there were Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien; Vietnamese Ambassador to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan Pham Thai Nhu Mai.

Prime Minister of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasimalyev was born on December 1, 1960 in Issyk- Kul, Kyrgyzstan. He has a bachelor's degree in Economics from the Leningrad Academy of Finance and Economics.
From 1984 to 1988, Mr. Kasimalyev was a researcher at the Institute for Economic Research and Economic - Financial Planning methods, State Planning Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
He was Head of the Finance Department, Road Construction Battalion, from 1988 to 1990; Deputy Head of the Tax Inspectorate of Oktyabrsky District, Bishkek Capital, Kyrgyzstan, from 1990 to 1994 and worked in various positions at the Kyrgyzstan Ministry of Finance in the period 1994-2002.
From 2003-2011, he held the positions of Vice Chairman of the State Budget Revenue Committee, Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan; Vice Chairman of the State Committee on Taxation and Fees of Kyrgyzstan; Vice Chairman, then Chairman of the General Department of Taxation, under the Government of Kyrgyzstan.
In the period of 2011-2022, Mr. Kasimalyev held the position of Deputy Minister of Economic Management; Deputy Minister of Economy; Minister of Finance; Director, then Chairman of the "Social Partnership for Regional Development" Fund; Deputy Chief of the Office of the President.
From June 2022 to 2024, he was First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Government.
From December 2024 to present, he has been Prime Minister and Chief of the Office of the President of Kyrgyzstan.
