The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that on March 2, 2025, at the Government Headquarters, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education and Training, Hanoi National University in coordination with Tsinghua University, China, held a ceremony to award the title of "Honourary Professor" of Tsinghua University to Politburo member, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, for the important contributions of the Party, Government of Vietnam and the Prime Minister personally to the remarkable development of the Vietnamese economy and cooperation between Vietnam and China in recent years.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Khoi Dung - Party Secretary of Tsinghua University, Director of the Chinese Academy of Sciences - emphasized: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is a leader of international influence, who has led the Vietnamese Government since taking office to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
With the goal of stabilizing the macro economy, controlling inflation, promoting growth, and ensuring major balances, the Vietnamese Government has achieved many outstanding achievements in socio-economic development and improving people's livelihoods in Vietnam.
Along with that, under the attention and direction of Chinese Premier Li Qiang and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Vietnam - China ministries, branches and localities have closely coordinated and actively implemented the common perception of the top leaders of the two Parties and two countries, promoting the building of the Vietnam - China Community of Shared Future Continuously in-depth and achieving substantial results.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his honor to receive the title of "Honourful Professor" of Tsinghua University and emphasized that the award of this noble title is not only a tribute to Tsinghua University, but also demonstrates the respect of the Party, State, and Government of China for the contributions of the Party and State of Vietnam in steadfastly carrying out the cause of Innovation and building socialism, on the foundation of Marquisism - Leninism, Ho Chi Minh's ideology, closely combined with the culture of the nation of more than 4,000 years, creatively applied in the specific conditions of Vietnam and the current world context, thereby bringing great achievements in the socio-economic development of Vietnam in recent times.
