Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Decision No. 1588/QD-TTg dated July 24, 2025 on the establishment of a Steering Committee to develop a project on state economic development towards improving state economic efficiency (Steering Committee).
According to the decision, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is the Head of the Steering Committee.
The Deputy Heads of the Committees include: Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung (Deputy Head of the Standing Committee, directly directing the development of the Project); Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc; Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang.

The Steering Committee is responsible for developing a project on state economic development towards improving the efficiency of the state economy to submit to the Politburo for promulgation a resolution on the state economy.
The Head of the Steering Committee shall preside over planned meetings and convene extraordinary meetings when necessary, and may authorize the Deputy Head of the Steering Committee to preside over meetings to discuss and decide on a number of specific issues under the duties of the Steering Committee.
