On the morning of July 25, a quick report from the People's Committee of Song Tri Ward said that at around 2:00 a.m. on July 25, a traffic accident occurred at Km571+800 National Highway 1A in Dong Trinh Residential Group (Song Tri Ward). The sleeper car with license plate 43F 00776 was driven by driver Le Ngoc Thanh (1989, residing in Dong Quang ward, Thanh Hoa province).
The vehicle departed from Hanoi to Da Nang, and when it reached the above location, the vehicle lost control and crashed into the overturned markers on the side of the road. There were about 28 people on the bus, of which 9 people died, 16 people were injured (1 seriously injured and transferred to the hospital, 15 people were treated at Ky Anh Town General Hospital).
Immediately after the accident, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Son - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Song Tri Ward - was present at the scene to directly direct the rescue work and take the victims to the emergency room.
Mr. Son also visited the hospital to visit and encourage the victims and their families; directed close monitoring of their health status, provided medical and spiritual support to the victims; and supported contact with relatives for handling according to regulations.
Speaking to reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper, the leader of Ky Anh Town General Hospital, Ha Tinh Province, said that the 15 injured people being treated at the hospital after the accident in Song Tri Ward this morning were not basically at risk of life.
The authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
