Lao Prime Minister touched by Vietnam's deep affection

Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone was moved and deeply thanked Vietnam for its deep affection for Laos, especially for comrade Khamtay Siphandone.

On April 7, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh led a high-ranking delegation of the Party and State of Vietnam to visit and attend the memorial service for comrade Khamtay Siphandone, former Chairman of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, former President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had meetings with General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith and Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the meetings, on behalf of the Party, State and people of Vietnam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his infinite condolences and sent his deepest condolences to the Party, State and people of Laos and comrade Khamtay Siphandone.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his admiration for the great contributions with unforgettable marks in the history of building and developing Laos and the revolutionary movement of the three Indochinese countries of comrade Khamtay Siphandone, a member of the Indochinese Communist Party.

The Prime Minister emphasized that Comrade Khamtay Siphandone and his predecessors in Laos led the revolutionary movement, achieving consecutive victories, bringing the Lao revolution to the brink of victory, and at the same time contributing greatly to the victory of the Vietnamese revolution.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that the Party, State and people of Vietnam always respect and acknowledge the role and contributions of Comrade Khamtay Siphandone, a close, loyal and affectionate comrade who plays an important role in building, fostering and developing the special solidarity relationship between Vietnam and Laos.

Lao leaders announced that they will send a high-level delegation to Vietnam to attend the P4G Green Growth Partnership Association Conference and the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.
