On the evening of July 10, at the Government Headquarters, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife met with Vietnamese and international female diplomats on the occasion of the United Nations International Women's Day in the diplomatic sector (June 24), towards the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's diplomatic sector.
Also attending were Vietnamese female diplomats; Ms. Pauline Tamesis, United Nations Permanent Coordinator in Vietnam; female ambassadors, representatives, and heads of representatives of international organizations in Vietnam.
Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh conveyed his greetings, best wishes for health, and best wishes from General Secretary To Lam and the leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam to female diplomats.
The Prime Minister emphasized that in Vietnamese culture, women play the most important and pillar role in the family. Vietnamese women have always been valued and today are given equal access to all social work.
The Prime Minister stated that Vietnam is looking forward to celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day, the 80th anniversary of the diplomatic sector's Traditional Day, and is celebrating the United Nations International Women's Day in the diplomatic sector (June 24-) to review the heroic tradition of the Vietnamese diplomatic sector in general, and women in diplomacy in particular.

The Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam highly values the contributions of women and has many female heroes in labor, combat, and production, including female diplomats, notably former Minister of Foreign Affairs, former Vice President Nguyen Thi Binh, as well as some other outstanding female diplomats.
The Prime Minister was pleased to welcome female diplomats at this meeting; hoping that female diplomats will always be healthy, continue to contribute to the country, to the diplomatic cause of the world, continue to make important contributions to preserving the peaceful, cooperative and developing environment, promote multilateralism, call for international solidarity, so that we can deal with the complicated and unpredictable world situation, requiring an all-people, comprehensive, global, and inclusive approach to solve it.
The Prime Minister also hopes that female diplomats will continue to contribute to the common goals of the United Nations, the goals of each country.
The Prime Minister noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs always creates all conditions for relevant agencies, including embassies, for female diplomats to best perform their tasks, to contribute their best, and leave a good impression of sincerity, trust and affection.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his emotions and once again expressed his best gratitude to the female diplomats; stated that this meeting helped us share, listen and understand more the feelings of women towards the nation, people, and family, contributing to protecting the peaceful Earth, creating an environment of peace, cooperation, and development, so that everyone can enjoy prosperity and happiness, leaving no one behind, especially for women and girls.
