On the afternoon of February 28, at the Government Headquarters, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a dialogue with Chinese enterprises.
According to Nhan Dan Newspaper, expressing his opinion at the seminar, the Prime Minister hoped that Chinese enterprises would develop Vietnam into a production base, contributing to the development of the digital economy, green economy, circular economy, rapid and sustainable development; healthy business, in accordance with the law, in the spirit of listening to each other's opinions, sharing vision, sharing actions, working together, winning together, sharing together, developing together. When favorable, we must be harmonious, when not favorable, we must share; hopefully China will actively transfer technology to Vietnam, support and help small enterprises develop into large enterprises, from enterprises lacking technology develop into enterprises with full technology; support Vietnamese enterprises to participate in global value chains; expand the scale of investment and investment in traditional growth drivers (investment, export, consumption); promote new growth drivers, emerging industries such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, Internet of Things, opto-electronics, quantum, biotechnology, new materials, high-end services such as payments by digital technology.
The Prime Minister expressed his encouragement for Vietnamese enterprises in particular and the Vietnamese economy in general to develop based on the foundation of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation; share and contribute experiences on institution building, including organizing delegations to study China's experience in developing the private economy. Applying smart management technology, the smart era must have smart management, such as smart border gates; investing in clean energy, especially renewable energy. Invest in transport infrastructure, especially railways, wharves, highways, etc. Invest in the development of industrial parks and economic zones. Regarding payment, promote digital payments, QR code payments, local currency payments; invest in financial centers because China has experience and potential; actively promote the development of green finance; further promote trade between the two countries, build border economic zones and smart border gates.
Regarding the recommendations of enterprises, the Prime Minister assigned Vietnamese ministries and branches to respond to Chinese enterprises no later than within 1 week. Request the Ministry of Transport to speed up the implementation of the standard gauge railway project connecting China, specifically the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong, Lang Son - Hanoi, Mong Cai - Ha Long - Hai Phong railway lines. The Prime Minister hopes that these are symbolic works of the two countries on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of relations...
At the seminar, Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam He Wei emphasized that this is the first seminar of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh with the foreign business community in the new year, demonstrating the spirit of always promoting substantive cooperation between the two countries. The Ambassador stated that Chinese enterprises have confidence in the Vietnamese market.
