The reception took place on the afternoon of May 12, at the Government Headquarters. At the reception, Politburo Member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung emphasized that the Party and State of Vietnam always appreciate the assistance of China to Vietnam during the period of struggle for national independence in the past as well as the development of the country today; always consider developing relations with China as a consistent policy, objective requirement, strategic choice, top priority in Vietnam's foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, self-strengthening, multilateralization, and diversification.
The Prime Minister wished the two sides to continue to closely coordinate to effectively implement the common understanding reached between the two General Secretaries and Presidents, especially maintaining the good tradition of high-level exchanges, promoting substantive cooperation in all fields, and striving to successfully implement the development goals of each country.
Accordingly, the Prime Minister wishes the two sides to promote balanced, healthy and sustainable bilateral trade development; create breakthroughs in connecting strategic infrastructure, prioritizing railway cooperation; strongly develop economic corridors across borders, logistics centers, border gate economic zones, industrial clusters in border areas; accelerate the construction of smart border gates and soon synchronously deploy economic cooperation zones across borders.
The Prime Minister requested China to support and create favorable conditions for Vietnam to effectively participate in the "Share Big Market - Export China" chain of activities, further open up to Vietnamese agricultural and aquatic products and livestock; promote scientific and technological cooperation, education and training; develop specific plans to implement the Vietnam - China Tourism Cooperation Year 2026 - 2027; strengthen health cooperation, including traditional medicine.
Ambassador Ha Vi affirmed that China values and highly prioritizes the development of relations with Vietnam, will work with Vietnam to effectively implement high-level common awareness, promote substantive cooperation, and jointly build stable supply chains and production chains; welcomed Vietnam's participation in the "Share Big Market - Export China" activity chain, thereby creating favorable conditions for goods, especially Vietnamese agricultural products, to be exported to the Chinese market.
The Ambassador expressed that China is ready to share experiences in building free trade zones, international financial centers, promote railway cooperation between the two countries, including cooperation in railway technology and engineering, expand railway connectivity between the two countries to Asia and Europe; expand scientific and technological cooperation, innovation, and ensure energy security.
