Prime Minister requests absolutely not to let goods block through border gates

The Prime Minister requested ministries, branches, and localities to proactively coordinate to properly resolve the circulation of goods through border gates, absolutely not to let goods be stuck.

The above content is mentioned in Official Dispatch No. 07 dated February 1st of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on urging the implementation of tasks to serve the people welcoming the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.

To prepare carefully and ensure the necessary conditions to serve the people to celebrate the New Year 2026 and enjoy spring and welcome the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year, the Prime Minister requested the People's Committees of provinces and cities to proactively have plans to ensure sufficient transportation vehicles to serve people and overseas Vietnamese returning to their hometowns for Tet.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade shall preside over and coordinate with relevant ministries, agencies, and localities to closely monitor the market situation, direct localities and units to prepare sufficient sources of essential goods, to prevent shortages and supply disruptions causing unreasonable price increases; strongly implement market stabilization programs, connect supply and demand, and bring Vietnamese goods to rural areas, industrial parks, and remote and isolated areas.

Closely coordinate with the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to direct the Market Management force to launch campaigns to strengthen the work of preventing and combating smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods; inspect and control the market, inspect the origin and quality of products and goods.

Ensure the supply of gasoline, oil, and electricity for production and business activities of enterprises and people's lives, absolutely not allowing shortages to occur in any situation.

The Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment to preside over and coordinate with relevant ministries, agencies, and localities to ensure the balance of supply and demand for food and foodstuffs, especially essential food items; promptly regulate supply and demand for goods to serve domestic needs, between regions and localities, and export demand to stabilize market prices.

Strengthen quality management, ensure food safety and hygiene, air, and domestic water sources.

Solve well the circulation of goods through border gates, absolutely not allowing goods congestion due to subjective factors, and remove them promptly and effectively if due to objective factors.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism shall preside over and coordinate with relevant ministries, agencies, and localities to direct the organization of rich and unique art programs, suitable to fine customs and traditions, preserving traditional values, serving people to celebrate Tet happily, safely, economically, effectively and in accordance with the economic conditions of each locality.

Strengthen state management of festivals and tourism; require business establishments to publicly list prices, absolutely not to raise prices or pressure tourists.
