Politburo member and Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu attended and directed the Congress. Also attending were leaders of central departments, ministries, branches, localities in the region and 450 official delegates, representing more than 139,500 Party members of the entire city Party Committee.
The Congress will take place from September 16 to 18, 2025, with the theme: "Building a clean and strong Party and political system; promoting cultural identity, revolutionary traditions, the strength of great solidarity and development aspirations; building a civilized, modern Da Nang city with high quality of life, becoming the growth pole of Vietnam, entering a new era of national development with the whole country".
Action motto: "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Creativity - Development".
During the three working days, the Congress will focus on evaluating the results of implementing the Resolution of the Congress for the 2020-2025 term; determining the direction, goals, tasks and solutions for the 2025-2030 term; discussing and contributing opinions to the draft documents submitted to the 14th National Party Congress; and electing the City Party Executive Committee, term I.
It is expected that the City Party Executive Committee for the new term will have 75 members. Of which, 73 people were introduced for re-election, 2 people participated for the first time in the City Party Executive Committee (City Military Commission Executive Committee, City Chief Justice).
The Standing Committee of the City Party Committee is expected to have 23 members; the City Party Committee's leadership is expected to have 6 members, including a Secretary and 5 Deputy Secretaries.
This Congress is of special significance, orienting a new stage of development, demonstrating the determination to build Da Nang into a major socio-economic center of the country, a livable, civilized and modern city.
