On the occasion of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs' Day (October 13), on the afternoon of October 11, 2024, at the Presidential Palace, General Secretary and President To Lam met with a delegation of outstanding entrepreneurs from the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Vietnam Association of Private Enterprises.
20 years ago, on September 20, 2004, Prime Minister Phan Van Khai signed Decision No. 990/QD-TTg to take October 13 every year as "Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day".
The Prime Minister's decision to make October 13th Vietnam Entrepreneurs' Day has profound historical significance because that is the day President Ho Chi Minh sent a letter to the Vietnamese business community (October 13, 1945). October 13th has become Entrepreneurs' Day every year.
October 2024 is also the 1-year anniversary of the Politburo issuing Resolution 41-NQ/TW on building and promoting the role of Vietnamese entrepreneurs in the new era.
Resolution 41-NQ/TW has set goals for 2030 and a vision for 2045 in developing the Vietnamese business community.
Resolution 41-NQ/TW sets the general goal of developing a strong team of entrepreneurs in terms of quantity, quality, reasonable structure, vision, intelligence, ethics, entrepreneurial spirit, legitimate enrichment, dynamism, creativity, advanced management capacity, law compliance, ethics, business culture with national identity; social responsibility, environmental protection awareness, making worthy contributions to the country's development goals.
