On October 4, at the Government headquarters, under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, the Government Standing Committee met with business representatives on the occasion of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day.

The team of businesses and entrepreneurs have made very important contributions to the country's revolutionary cause.
In the current context, the Prime Minister affirmed that President Ho Chi Minh's thoughts on encouraging development and promoting the role and responsibility of Vietnamese entrepreneurs for the prosperity of the country still retain profound value and hot topicality, especially in the era of our nation's rise.
The Prime Minister stated that the Party, State and Government always respectfully welcome Vietnamese entrepreneurs - talented, dedicated people with a deep and correct awareness of their key responsibilities and pioneering roles in contributing to promoting socio-economic development and enhancing the country's potential, prestige and international position.
In particular, our country has never had the foundation, potential, position and international prestige as it does today, with the contributions of entrepreneurs and businesses.
"The ancients have a saying: 'No worker, no wealth, no business, no activity' to show the importance and indispensability of the business community for development. Without a good business community, the economic flow will stagnate and the country will not be able to prosper," said the Prime Minister.
According to the Prime Minister, currently, the Vietnamese business community has grown strongly in both quantity and quality, inheriting the tradition of patriotism, promoting self-reliance, self-reliance, and the spirit of dedication to the nation; increasingly affirming its important role and contribution to the economy.
Notably, a number of businesses have developed to reach regional and world levels, contributing to enhancing Vietnam's position and reputation in the international arena.
The Prime Minister asked the delegates to share their feelings, thoughts, impressions, concerns and worries about the development of the country in general and of businesses and entrepreneurs in particular; to give suggestions so that what has been done well can be done even better, and that the team of businesses and entrepreneurs can contribute even more.
In particular, it is necessary to contribute institutional ideas for entrepreneurs to develop healthily, openly, transparently, and legally, to build a strong enough team of entrepreneurs to develop together with the country, striving that by 2030, Vietnam will be a developing country with modern industry and high average income, and by 2045, it will become a developed country with high income.
To achieve this goal, all entities must do it, but businesses and entrepreneurs play a pivotal role.
According to the report, the number of newly registered enterprises in 2024 will continue to be higher than the 159,000 in 2023, and it will be the third consecutive year of setting a record for the number of newly registered enterprises.
