The Politburo has issued Decision No. 198-QD/TW dated June 10, 2026 on the establishment of the Central Steering Committee for Foreign Affairs and International Integration (Steering Committee).
The Steering Committee consists of 37 members.
General Secretary and President To Lam is the Head of the Steering Committee.
Politburo Member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung is Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee.
The Deputy Head of the Steering Committee includes Politburo members: National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu.
Politburo Member, Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung is the Standing Member of the Steering Committee.
Members of the Steering Committee include Politburo members, Secretaries of the Party Central Committee: Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai; Head of the Central Organization Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc; Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee Trinh Van Quyet; Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Le Minh Tri; Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee Tran Sy Thanh; Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee Nguyen Thanh Nghi.
Also members of the Steering Committee include Politburo members: Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc, concurrently Head of the Inter-sectoral Committee for Foreign Affairs and International Integration on Economics and Science - Technology; General Phan Van Giang, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense, Member of the Steering Committee, concurrently Head of the Inter-sectoral Committee for Foreign Affairs and International Integration on Politics, National Defense, Security; General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security; Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Doan Minh Huan; Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Tran Duc Thang; Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang.

The decision clearly states that the functions, tasks, powers, working regime, and working relations of the Steering Committee are implemented according to the regulations of the Politburo.
