On May 28, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, General Secretary To Lam met with Hungarian President Sulyok Tamas on an official visit to Vietnam.

At the invitation of Politburo member and President Luong Cuong, Hungarian President Sulyok Tamas and his wife paid an official visit to Vietnam from May 27 to 29.

This is the first visit to Vietnam in 11 years by the head of the Hungarian State, taking place at the time of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2025 (February 3, 1950 - February 3, 2025).

Over the past 75 years, the friendship and cooperation between the two countries have developed increasingly well in many fields such as education and training, law and justice, culture, sports, people-to-people exchanges, etc.

Based on the good relationship over the past 75 years, this official visit to Vietnam by Hungarian President Sulyok Tamas and his wife demonstrates the respect, role and prestige of Vietnam in the region and internationally, and the desire of the two countries to promote the Vietnam - Hungary Comprehensive Partnership.
