On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, on the evening of January 28 (ie the 29th day of the Lunar New Year), General Secretary To Lam visited, encouraged, inspected the on-duty work, combat readiness and wished a happy new year to officers and soldiers on duty at the National Cyber Security Center (Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention, Ministry of Public Security) and the Command Center, Air Defense - Air Force Service (Ministry of National Defense), according to VNA.
Accompanying the General Secretary were Politburo members: Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Inspection Commission, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Nguyen Duy Ngoc; General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense; General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security. There were also leaders of the Party Central Committee Office and the General Secretary's Office.
At the National Cyber Security Center, the General Secretary sent New Year greetings to officers and soldiers on duty; commended the force for detecting, combating, and cracking down on a number of major cases of high-tech crimes and cyber fraud. Accordingly, the force verified and handled cases very quickly, and was on duty non-stop, demonstrating their mettle, strength, solidarity, discipline, eliteness, and modernity.
General Secretary To Lam emphasized that during the New Year, especially during the New Year's Eve, officers and soldiers of the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention need to continue to focus highly, ensure safety, and prevent fraudulent activities in cyberspace, so that everyone and every family can enjoy the spring and celebrate Tet.
Emphasizing that 2025 is a year of great significance, the General Secretary noted that in the current era of strong digital transformation, ensuring national sovereignty in cyberspace is an important, long-term task, a key factor in forming a safe and stable cyberspace for all countries, including Vietnam.
In the evening of the same day, General Secretary To Lam - Secretary of the Central Military Commission - inspected the on-duty work, combat readiness and wished a happy new year to officers and soldiers on duty at the Command Center, Air Defense - Air Force Service (Ministry of National Defense).
The General Secretary requested that leaders, officers and soldiers at the Command Headquarters continue to promote the glorious tradition of the heroic Vietnamese Army, focus on firmly grasping the situation, contribute to protecting national interests, sovereignty and security, and avoid being passive or surprised in any situation.
At the same time, it is necessary to take care of Party building work, building a truly clean and strong unit, absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the people, ready to fight and sacrifice for the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
Sending New Year greetings, the General Secretary emphasized that the leaders of the Party, State, and Central Military Commission highly appreciated the spirit of combat readiness, guarding the sky, and national space sovereignty, and the people were also very assured with the working spirit and capacity to firmly protect the Fatherland, of the Air Defense - Air Force in particular, and the Vietnam People's Army in general.
The General Secretary emphasized that while people are joyfully welcoming the New Year, soldiers are not losing their vigilance for a moment against hostile forces and external interference plots, while at the same time serving the people's safe air travel.
General Secretary To Lam stated that on the journey of building and defending the Fatherland, the process of building, fighting and growing up of the Air Defense - Air Force has always been of interest to Party and State leaders, including President Ho Chi Minh.
