On the afternoon of April 29, in Ho Chi Minh City, General Secretary To Lam received a delegation of leaders and representatives of political parties from countries coming to Vietnam to attend the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025)
General Secretary To Lam was accompanied by many leaders of the Party and State.
On the international visitors' side, there are leaders and representatives of the party leaders of many countries from Asia, Europe, America and Africa.
Warmly welcoming international visitors, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that the Party, State and people of Vietnam always respect, remember the solidarity, attachment and valuable support and assistance that the Party regimes, states, governments and international friends have given to Vietnam in the past struggle for national liberation and national reunification and in the current cause of national construction and defense.
Highlighting the historical significance of the victory on April 30, 1975, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that this is a dazzling milestone in the history of the Vietnamese nation, the greatest achievement of the cause of national liberation and reunification of the Vietnamese people under the leadership of the beloved Vietnamese Communist Party and President Ho Chi Minh.
It is a victory and a vivid symbol of the aspiration for peace and the will "Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom", of the strength of national solidarity, as well as the pure and noble spirit of international solidarity and of human conscience and the progressive people around the world.
General Secretary To Lam said that the historic victory of the Vietnamese people on April 30, 1975 had great contributions from the progressive people and peace-loving friends in the world, including the heads of parties of countries attending the celebration in Ho Chi Minh City.
General Secretary To Lam emphasized that in 2025, it was also the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the establishment of the Communist Party of Vietnam, 80 years of establishment of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
General Secretary To Lam affirmed that after 50 years of the Liberation of the South, from a country devastated by war, Vietnam has become a symbol of peace, stability, and deep and comprehensive integration into world politics, the global economy, and human civilization.
General Secretary To Lam affirmed that Vietnam is facing a new historical starting point - a new era, an era of national development. The Party, State and people of Vietnam are aiming to realize strategic development goals by 2030 and 2045, in accordance with President Ho Chi Minh's wish to "build a peaceful, unified, independent, democratic and rich Vietnam and make a worthy contribution to the cause of the world revolution".
General Secretary To Lam affirmed that the Communist Party of Vietnam before and after as one, supporting political parties, social progress movements in the world in the struggle for the common goals of the times, desire to expand and deepen the relationship between political parties, enhance the understanding, friendship and cooperation between the people of Vietnam and the people of the world in the world.
The Party, State and people of Vietnam hope to continue to receive support and close cooperation from peace-loving parties, friends and people around the world for the cause of building and developing the country, continuing to consolidate and deepen the traditional relationship between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the parties in an increasingly substantial and effective direction.
Along with this meaningful meeting, within the framework of the celebration, leaders and representatives of political parties will also have many meaningful activities such as offering flowers at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument, meeting with leaders of the Party and State and visiting cultural and historical facilities of Ho Chi Minh City.
