On the same day, the two Defense Ministers also signed the Vietnam - Russia Strategic Partnership Plan in the defense sector for the 2026-2030 period.
The two leaders also adopted a Joint Statement on key orientations in the Vietnam - Russia comprehensive strategic partnership in the new period. There needs to be a symbolic project for the Vietnam - Russia friendship in the new era.

President Putin said that at the talks, the two sides decided on many important issues of the orientation of expanding and raising relations between the two countries to new heights concretized through cooperation agreements in all fields signed earlier on the same day between leaders of ministries, branches and localities.
General Secretary To Lam said the two sides had a very successful meeting. The two leaders agreed on major orientations in the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation in the new cooperation era. The two sides agreed to have specific projects symbolic for Vietnam - Russian Federation in the new era.
