On July 1st, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee organized the awarding of decisions on personnel work to leaders of 3 press agencies of the city, including Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper, Tuoi Tre Electronic Newspaper and Ho Chi Minh City Radio and Television Station.
Previously, Ho Chi Minh City established the Ho Chi Minh City Newspaper and Radio and Television Authority on the basis of arranging, reorganizing and dissolving, ending the operation of 11 press agencies directly under the city.
8 press agencies ceasing operations include: Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, Phu Nu TPHCM Newspaper, Phap Luat TPHCM Newspaper, Ho Chi Minh City Education Magazine, Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Magazine, Saigon Entrepreneurs Magazine, Saigon Economic Magazine and Popular Science Magazine.
3 press agencies are reorganized including Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper, Tuoi Tre Newspaper and Ho Chi Minh City Radio and Television Station.
According to the decision of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Khac Van - Acting Editor-in-Chief of Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper, Deputy General Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Newspaper and Radio, Television Authority, was appointed to hold the position of Editor-in-Chief of Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper. Along with that, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee appointed 9 Deputy Editors-in-Chief of Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper.
For Tuoi Tre Electronic Newspaper, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee decided to appoint Mr. Tran Xuan Toan - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre Newspaper, Deputy General Director of Ho Chi Minh City Newspaper and Radio, Television Authority, to hold the position of Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre Electronic Newspaper. At the same time, 8 Deputy Editors-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre Electronic Newspaper were also appointed.
At Ho Chi Minh City Radio and Television Station, Mr. Cao Anh Minh, General Director of Ho Chi Minh City Radio and Television Station, Deputy General Director of Ho Chi Minh City Newspaper and Radio, Television Authority, was appointed to continue holding the position of General Director of Ho Chi Minh City Radio and Television Station. The Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee also appointed 6 Deputy General Directors of Ho Chi Minh City Radio and Television Station.
