On October 11, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh visited and presented 2.2 billion VND to Lao Cai province to build a hemodialysis center.

Expressing deep condolences and sharing the heavy losses and damages of Lao Cai people due to the recent storm and flood, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh requested Lao Cai province to try to overcome the consequences soon, especially, to pay attention to investing in grassroots healthcare to ensure the health of the people, especially the poor and disadvantaged households, and at the same time, focus on the work of eliminating temporary houses so that people have safe places to live.

At the meeting, the delegation presented 2.2 billion VND to Lao Cai province to build a blood filtration - artificial kidney dialysis center.

According to the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, the funding source is not large, but investing in a system of blood filtration and artificial kidney dialysis machines will help save many patients, take care of people's health, and is much more meaningful because the cost of dialysis for patients is very high.

In the coming time, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh will continue to call for funding to invest in the Lao Cai Province Hemodialysis Center, support training in machine operation for doctors, nurses and technicians, and better meet the needs of patients.

At the same time, Lao Cai is considering placing hemodialysis machines there in districts far from the provincial center where district-level medical centers are qualified, to help save time and money for patients.

Lao Cai Provincial Party Secretary Dang Xuan Phong thanked Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh for her affection and concern, and will direct the investment and effective operation of the provincial hemodialysis center.
