On September 2nd, Hanoi officially adjusted traffic organization to serve the temporary opening of the Ring Road 1 project, Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section.
People traveling through the area need to pay attention to some changes in direction, turnaround and restricted left turns.
According to the new plan of the Hanoi Department of Construction, at the Hoang Cau - Hao Nam - La Thanh old intersection - Ring Road 1, some left turn directions will be prohibited.
Vehicles were instructed to turn right, pass through median strip openings to turn around and continue their journey.

At the Giang Vo - Lang Ha - Ring Road 1 intersection, the traffic organization plan to serve the construction of the overpass continues to be maintained. Some directions of vehicles must pass through the intersection and turn around at opening points on Giang Vo street before entering Ring Road 1.
Notably, at the Nguyen Chi Thanh - Ring Road 1 intersection, some directions of movement are reorganized. Vehicles may have to turn around on Nguyen Chi Thanh street or go through the temporary road in the Nguyen Hong intersection area to continue their journey.
At Voi Phuc - Ring Road 1 intersection, vehicles from Huynh Thuc Khang extended and Cau Giay street towards Ring Road 1 will move according to the traffic light system and the current traffic island, towards Nguyen Chi Thanh - La Thanh.
On the entire Ring Road 1, Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section, traffic is reorganized by area. In particular, the section through the construction scope of Nguyen Chi Thanh overpass is organized for one-way traffic in the direction from Voi Phuc to Nguyen Chi Thanh. Meanwhile, old La Thanh road still organizes two-way traffic.

Because some temporarily exploited road sections have narrow cross-sections, people need to reduce speed, pay attention to signs and instructions from functional forces. Stopping and parking in areas that do not ensure traffic conditions may also be restricted.
In the initial period of implementation, the traffic situation on the route and surrounding areas will continue to be monitored for adjustment when necessary.
Hanoi Department of Construction recommends that people when passing through Ring Road 1, Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section should proactively choose their route, comply with traffic signs and traffic diversion instructions to ensure safety and limit congestion.
The investment project to build Ring Road 1, Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section has a total investment of more than 7,200 billion VND from the city budget.
The road is about 2,274km long, with a cross-section of 50m wide, starting point at the Cat Linh - La Thanh - Yen Lang intersection (Hoang Cau) and ending point at the Voi Phuc intersection.

After completion, the road will be organized with 8 lanes, contributing to expanding traffic space and increasing connectivity between areas on Ring Road 1.
According to the plan, the two overpasses and other items of the project are expected to be completed before December 31, 2026.
