Tuyen Quang - During the waterfall bathing process, a male tourist drowned, was swept away into the cave area and went missing.

On September 2nd, information from the Ha Giang Fire and Rescue Team (Tuyen Quang Provincial Police) said that forces had approached the Khau Lan waterfall area, Quan Ba commune to deploy the search for a tourist who was swept away by water and went missing.

Previously, at about 7:30 pm on September 1, functional agencies received a report about 2 tourists swimming at Khau Lan waterfall.

While swimming in the waterfall, Mr. Q.T.D (born in 1996, residing in Ho Chi Minh City) showed signs of drowning, was swept into the cave area of the waterfall and went missing.

After receiving information, rescue forces and specialized vehicles and equipment set off to the scene.

Due to its location deep in a rugged mountainous terrain, approaching the scene took a long time. After approaching the scene, the forces coordinated to search.

At the foot of the waterfall area, the upstream water flows fiercely, pouring straight into the cave with strong swirling force.

To ensure safety, the survey of the flow direction, using specialized equipment to carefully examine the foot of the waterfall, rock crevices and expand to the downstream area are being implemented simultaneously.

Currently, search work is being urgently carried out.
