On the morning of August 9, Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, presided over the ceremony to hand over the decision on cadres.
At the ceremony, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc presented the Prime Minister's decision approving the election results for the position of Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
At the ceremony, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc congratulated Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong on being elected Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc commented that Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong has gone through both his youth and many positions working in Ho Chi Minh City. In any position, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong has completed his assigned tasks well, thereby being trusted by the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and boldly proposed to be elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc said that in the coming time, the task set for Ho Chi Minh City is very heavy but also very glorious and hoped that Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, together with the comrades in the Standing Committee of the City People's Committee Party Committee, will unite, promote experience and capacity with the City People's Committee to successfully complete the tasks assigned by the Party, State and City Party Committee.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong expressed his honor to be trusted by the leaders of the Central and Ho Chi Minh City and assigned the responsibility of Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong promised to make every effort to be receptive, listening, absorbing, closely coordinating, united with the Standing Committee of the City People's Committee and the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to best achieve the assigned tasks.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong hopes that the Standing Committee of the City People's Committee, members of the City People's Committee, and leaders of the City's departments and branches will continue to pay attention to support, coordinate, guide and accompany him to help him personally best complete the assigned tasks in the upcoming period.
Previously, on July 24, at the 2nd session of the 10th term of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, term 2021-2026, the delegates elected Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the City Party Committee, to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, term X, 2021-2026. As a result, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong won the election with 183/184 votes, reaching a rate of 99.46%.
