Posthumously awarding the Second-class Labor Medal to the former Deputy Chief of Office of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee

Nghe An - Mr. Dinh Xuan Ngo, former Deputy Chief of Office of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, was posthumously awarded the Second-class Labor Medal; representing his family to receive this noble award.

On September 13, in Tu My commune, Ha Tinh province, authorized by the President, Mr. Pham Trong Hoang - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Organization Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee - awarded the Second-class Labor Medal to the representative of the family of Mr. Dinh Xuan Ngo - former Deputy Chief of Office of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee.

Mr. Dinh Xuan Ngo was born in 1926 in Son Tan commune, Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province, now belonging to Tu My commune, Ha Tinh province. During his work, he spent more than 30 years attached to the Office of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee.

In 1958, while holding the position of Head of the Organization - Administration Department of Inter-zone 4, Mr. Dinh Xuan Ngo was transferred by the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee to the Provincial Party Committee Office, holding the position of Head of the Administration - Management Department.

In early 1963, he was promoted to the position of Deputy Chief of Office of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee. He held this position for more than 25 years, until he retired at the end of 1988.

During his time in office, he and the Provincial Party Committee Office collective performed the task of advising and serving the activities of the Party Committee in many special periods of the country.

In 1961, when President Ho Chi Minh returned to his hometown for the second time, Mr. Dinh Xuan Ngo was assigned by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to participate in preparing conditions to serve the visit, from accommodation, working to conditions to serve his working session with the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee.

During the years of the anti-American war, Nghe An was a frequently attacked area, and the Provincial Party Committee agency had to relocate and evacuate from Vinh City many times.

In those conditions, Mr. Dinh Xuan Ngo and officials of the Provincial Party Committee Office participated in organizing workplaces, accommodation, meetings, building trenches, fortifications and ensuring conditions to serve the activities of the Provincial Party Committee agency.

With his contributions in the working process, Mr. Dinh Xuan Ngo was awarded the Third-class Resistance War Medal against France and the First-class Resistance War Medal against the US by the Party and State.

On August 5, 2026, the President decided to posthumously award Mr. Dinh Xuan Ngo the Second-class Labor Medal for his outstanding achievements in the working process, contributing to the cause of building socialism and protecting the Fatherland.

On this occasion, Mr. Dinh Xuan Ngo's family also launched the memoir "The Son of Lac Dinh Hamlet" published by Nghe An Publishing House. The book gathers documents about the process of operation, work and the imprints in the life of the former Deputy Chief of Office of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee.
