Dear comrades and delegates!
On June 5, 11, the patriotic young man Nguyen Tat Thanh - Nguyen Van Ba left the Fatherland, to find a way to save the country and the people. 2018, Joined the French Socialist Party. In 1919, under the name Nguyen Ai Quoc, the person who worked with Vietnamese patriots, including Deputy Director Phan Chau Trinh and Dr. Phan Van Truong, drafted and sent the eight-point version of "Love of the An Nam People's Book", written in French, to the Versailles Peace Conference. At the end of 1920, he became a party member, founder of the French Communist Party and the first communist in Vietnam. In 1921, participants established the Local Union Association.
In 1922, he chaired the publishing of the newspaper Le Paria. In the first issue of the article, the person affirmed the mission of the newspaper as " liberating people". In mid-1923, Nguyen Ai Quoc secretly left France for the Soviet Union. Here, he has thoroughly grasped and grasped Linin's viewpoint on journalism, which is: "In today's era, without political newspapers, there cannot be a movement... political"... "we need the newspaper first of all, without it, we cannot conduct a systematic, very disciplined and comprehensive propaganda and mobilization campaign"; "The press is the one that propagates, mobilizes collectives, organizes collectives, and leads collectives".
In November 1924, Nguyen Ai Quoc left the Soviet Union to go to Guangzhou. The person who selected active members of the Tam Xa organization to train, coach, and establish the Youth Union, then from there, establish the Vietnam Youth Revolutionary Association.
On June 21, 1925, the founder of Thanh Nien Newspaper - the Association's language agency, contributed to spreading Marxism-Leninism in Vietnam, preparing ideologically, politically and organizationally to move towards the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam 5 years later. On August 22, 1926, Thanh Nien Newspaper (No. 61) published a political article by Nguyen Ai Quoc with the pen name "ieu Huong" affirming: "Only by establishing a Communist Party in the Bo-zes-ich style of Putin can our country's revolution be successful". The newspaper is secretly printed and distributed in quantity of 400 to 500 copies per period, and is sent back to the country by sea or road.
Right from those difficult early days, Thanh Nien Newspaper has attracted the attention of many people, many patriotic and revolutionary organizations in Vietnam and Vietnamese patriotic workers in China, France, Thailand, Laos... Thanh Nien Newspaper has exposed the crimes of aggression and brutal exploitation of colonialists and feudalists; reflected the miserable and extreme life of the poor; proposed directions and measures to fight for national liberation, class liberation, and human liberation; aroused the spirit of patriotism, solidarity, and determination to rise up and defeat the invading French colonialists and feudalists, gained independence and freedom, built a good, democratic, strong and prosperous society.
Through Thanh Nien Newspaper, leader Nguyen Ai Quoc has smoothly combined the propaganda of Marxism - Lenny with the path to save the country and the people according to the new requirements of the Vietnamese revolution at that time; gradually escaping the deadlock of the path to save the country of the patroneous and patriotic soldiers in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. As of February 14, 2020, Thanh Nien Newspaper has published 208 issues, both as propaganda and learning materials, and has been transferred to the country to enlighten all classes of people.
In the following years, leader Nguyen Ai Quoc participated in directing, encouraging, and writing articles for domestic revolutionary newspapers such as: Red Magazine, Buoa Liem, Luy Trang, Dan... In 1941, right after returning home, he founded, directed, and wrote articles for newspapers: Vietnam Independence, Savation, Confucian Flags, Truth, etc. These are revolutionary newspapers born during 20 years of revolutionary mobilization and fighting, contributing significantly to the founding event of the Communist Party of Vietnam on February 3, 1930; for the peak revolutionary struggles of 1930 - 1936, 1939, 1939 - 1945, creating the great August revolution in 1945, establishing the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, the first Democratic State and people in Southeast Asia.
Comrade Hoang Quoc Viet, a senior Party official, recounted: The youth of the 1930s like us were extremely excited every time they read a book, even an article by Mars, Ang-ghen, Putin, Nguyen Ai Quoc. Thanh Nien Newspaper was founded by his uncle and wrote many articles, every time we brought them back to the country, we would read them by hand until they were crushed, then copy them over and over again until we were in love. At this time, although we had not met Uncle Ho, through his books and newspapers, we learned a lot from him. Learn from Uncle Ho about revolutionary ideals and how to make a revolution. Learn from Uncle Ho how to organize a union. Teach him about patriotism, love for the people, hate the poor and exploited. The first lesson that Uncle Ho taught us was the lesson "The way of the Cach Cach".

Dear comrades and delegates!
Our country is standing at the threshold of a new stage of development, with intertwined opportunities and challenges. Revolutionary press is facing turning points and breakthrough changes. The goals, tasks, and strategic solutions that the entire Party, people, army, and entire political system are determined to implement to bring the country firmly forward in the new era are the topics, goals, and tasks of press agencies and the team of journalists.
That is a revolution in organizing the apparatus of the political system, arranging administrative units and organizing local governments at 2 levels to unblock bottlenecks, promote decentralization, delegation of power, and create new development space. It is a revolution in breakthroughs in the development of science and technology, innovation and national digital transformation, creating new growth momentum and global competition. This is a new height of extensive, proactive and active international integration. It is a heavy responsibility in the task of building and defending the Fatherland early and from afar, not to be passive or surprised, ensuring a peaceful environment for development. It is to protect the freedoms, democracy, and human rights of each citizen according to the Constitution, laws, and international standards that Vietnam recognizes and signs.
That context and goal requires each press agency and journalists nationwide to, first of all, innovate their thinking, awareness and practical actions to make journalism more revolutionary, more professional, more modern, more humane, worthy of the glorious tradition of 100 years of building, fighting, and maturing of the Vietnamese revolutionary press, founded, led, and trained by President Ho Chi Minh; cared for, led, guided, and encouraged by the Party and State; and loved, helped, and accompanied by the people.
Our Party and State always identify: Vietnamese revolutionary press is an inseparable and close part of the entire ideological and cultural work of the Party, of the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. Our press takes the interests of the nation, people, happiness and prosperity of the people as the ultimate goal, all for the rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization.
Every revolution begins with changing production methods, labor force, productivity, quality and work efficiency. The challenge of digital transformation creates great pressure, even harshness for the press. The value of traditional journalism still needs to be nurtured, promoted, and fueled alongside modern methods and information transmission platforms. Receiving intelligence cannot replace the courage, core, soul, and community commitment of the press. Technology brings the press a new breath, a new look, a new way of working, but cannot replace thinking, personalization, styling, for people, for people and the community.
The new era, the new revolutionary period needs new, advanced, and humane methods of information, knowledge, and thinking, which revolutionary journalism must undertake. The press public not only needs to provide sensitive and attractive information but also needs accuracy, humanity, verification, orientation, analysis, comments, and solutions for construction and multi-dimensional forecasting. The old thinking for press agencies to survive for a long time needs to be changed to create new development momentum. Technology platforms and the digital transformation revolution will fundamentally change the way journalism is done. Every international movement is organically linked to domestic life, when cyberspace is limitless, the country is connected to the region and the world, in the integration, the identity, the unique, and unique are the necessary values in the human community. The press informs and propagates policies and guidelines, but also needs to be brave, responsible for criticizing and exchanging to move towards truth and the good cultural values of the nation; towards China, China, and the US; resolutely fighting against bad things, degradation, corruption, waste, and negativity. That vivid reality requires each journalist, each news agency, each local or central association level to change and improve themselves.
The 100-year journey of Vietnam's revolutionary press has marked the efforts, achievements, lessons and challenges, ups and downs, and aspirations to come. In today's solemn ceremony, we, the revolutionary journalists, are honored, proud and can affirm that over the past century, the Vietnamese revolutionary press has always been persistent, steadfast, serving the noble revolutionary cause of the Party, the nation, and the people. We will enter the next 100-year journey with great aspirations, determination, and efforts to successfully fulfill the role and mission assigned by the Party, State, and People, contributing to bringing the country into a new era, for a Vietnam " peaceful, independent, democratic, strong, prosperous, civilized, happy, steadfastly moving towards socialism", standing shoulder to shoulder with the world powers, as President Ho Chi Minh wished and the burning desire of the entire nation.
I would like to respect General Secretary To Lam and his leaders, former leaders of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front, veteran journalists, international press delegations, and delegates for good health, happiness, and success.
Sincerely thank you!
