After nearly 40 years of carrying out the renovation process and more than 30 years of implementing the Platform for national construction during the transition period to socialism, our country has achieved great and historic achievements; the country has developed more strongly and comprehensively.
Experts, political scientists, and politicians all affirm that, through the process of innovation, we have created the country's position and strength, raising the country's status in the region and in the international arena; with new opportunities and fortunes, we have gathered all the necessary conditions and are facing a historic opportunity to bring the country into a new era, an era of national growth, successfully implementing the 100-year strategic goals under the leadership of the Party, 100 years of the country's founding, striving to become a developed country with high income, following a socialist orientation by the middle of the 21st century.
In recent times, the message of “a new era, an era of rising up of the Vietnamese people” has been mentioned and affirmed many times by Politburo member and President Luong Cuong as well as Party and State leaders at many domestic and international activities.
At the National Scientific Conference with the theme "Vietnam People's Army - Heroic Tradition, Glorious Career, Core Force in Building a Strong National Defense" on December 14, 2024, President Luong Cuong emphasized: "The officers and soldiers of the entire army need to continue to unite, unify, carry out the whole army's will, the army and the people's will, strive to achieve many outstanding achievements, and be the core force in building a strong national defense, a strong national defense posture associated with people's security and a strong people's security posture. The Party, the State and the People believe that the People's Army will continuously promote its heroic tradition, glorious career, continue to achieve outstanding feats, and together with the entire people enter a new era, an era of the Vietnamese people's rise, building and firmly defending the Socialist Republic of Vietnam".
Or at the intimate meeting with the delegation of exemplary elderly women on the afternoon of December 6, 2024, President Luong Cuong emphasized that the country is facing a new opportunity, to enter a new era - an era of striving for prosperity and well-being of the nation. The President believes that such a great goal can only come true when we strongly promote the great national unity bloc, with the joint efforts and unanimity of the entire Party, the entire people and the entire army.
Vietnam is a top destination for international investors
In his speech at the 31st APEC Summit in Lima, Peru, on November 16, 2024, President Luong Cuong affirmed: As an active and responsible member of the international community, Vietnam will continue to closely coordinate with APEC members to effectively implement APEC's orientations and visions. Building on the achievements of previous APEC years, Vietnam will carefully prepare for APEC Year 2027, aiming for a peaceful, prosperous, sustainable and inclusive Asia-Pacific.
Speaking to the press about this activity, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son said that the participation of the President and the Vietnamese delegation at the APEC High-Level Week continues to affirm Vietnam's commitment to APEC cooperation, ready to contribute more to peace, cooperation and development of Asia - Pacific and the world, of which Vietnam hosting APEC 2027 is a clear demonstration.
"The President's remarks at the APEC Summit Week once again conveyed a strong message about Vietnam entering a new era, an era of national growth, a dynamic, innovative Vietnam and a leading destination for international investors," said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son.
