This morning (8.11), the 48th session of the National Assembly Standing Committee officially opened. The meeting took place from August 11 to 13 (expected on August 14-15).

At this session, the National Assembly Standing Committee will consider and give opinions on many important contents.

According to the meeting agenda, after the opening speech of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, the National Assembly Standing Committee will consider reporting on the National Assembly's petition work in July 2025.

After that, review the report of the thematic monitoring team on the implementation of policies and laws on the development and use of human resources to meet the requirements of socio-economic development, especially high-quality human resources.

At the same time, give opinions on specific investment mechanisms and policies for Gia Binh International Airport.

In the afternoon, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave its opinion on the explanation, acceptance, and revision of the draft Law on Emergency Situations.

Giving opinions on the explanation, acceptance, and revision of 4 draft Laws on Transfer, Law on Transfer of People serving prison sentences, Law on mutual Legal Assistance on Civil Matters, Law on mutual Legal Assistance on Criminal Matters.

The National Assembly Standing Committee will also give opinions on draft Laws amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Education; Law on Higher Education (amended); Law on Vocational Education (amended).

In addition, the National Assembly Standing Committee will consider and approve the draft Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee stipulating the list of tasks, activities and spending rates for each task and activity for the content of the review, through legal documents and reviewing, approving and deciding on joining international treaties and international organizations;
