On December 19, in Hanoi, General Secretary To Lam attended the conference to review the work in 2024 and deploy the tasks for 2025 of the Party Central Office.
Attending the conference were Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu; Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Commission Le Minh Hung; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee Office Nguyen Duy Ngoc.
According to VNA, on behalf of the Politburo and the Secretariat, General Secretary To Lam acknowledged and commended the efforts, endeavors and achievements of the Party Central Office; emphasizing that the work results of the Party Central Office have made an important contribution to the overall achievements of the entire Party, army and people in 2024.
Regarding the 2025 work tasks, the General Secretary requested that it is necessary to fully and deeply understand the particularly important role of the Party Central Office in the coming time.
The General Secretary emphasized that the Party Central Office must truly be a strategic, important, confidential advisory body, the "brain" of the Party Central Committee, directly the Politburo and the Secretariat, where important decisions of the Party are formed and implemented; where it advises on the organization and management of the Party's leadership work, coordinates and harmonizes the activities of the Party Central Committee's advisory bodies; is a center for comprehensive information serving the leadership and is an assisting agency, ensuring the smooth operations of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo and the Secretariat.
The General Secretary pointed out that the Party Central Office needs to urgently complete on schedule the summary of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW and propose a new model and organization of the Party Central Office; associated with the arrangement of appropriate staff commensurate with the work; at the same time, review, amend and supplement working regulations and procedures, ensuring that the Party Central Office is truly "upgraded" to operate effectively and efficiently.
The work is "elevated", especially the staff work must be "strategic, profound, intellectual, and sharp", must be the "wisdom bag" of the Party, the service work must be "professional, scientific, and modern", meeting the leadership requirements of the Party in the important revolutionary period.
Requiring close adherence to the Party's key tasks in 2025, the General Secretary suggested that it is necessary to promptly complete the summary and assessment of the implementation of resolutions, directives and conclusions from the beginning of the 13th Congress term to the present; in conjunction with reviewing the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress. At the same time, in the process of building and completing the draft documents of the 14th Congress, the Party Central Office needs to immediately determine the organization of implementation after the Congress so that the Resolution can come into life. The advisory body must help the leadership "think early and plan ahead".
The General Secretary suggested that the Party Central Office continue to promote the tradition of "Absolute loyalty, solidarity, creativity, dedication, thoughtfulness, and adherence to principles", constantly improving the quality and effectiveness of all aspects of work.
To recognize the outstanding achievements of collectives and individuals, at the conference, 3 individuals were awarded the Independence Medal; 4 individuals were awarded the Labor Medal; 1 collective was awarded the Emulation Flag of the Government; 2 collectives were awarded the Emulation Flag of the Central Party Office; 1 individual was awarded the Certificate of Merit of the Prime Minister; 6 collectives were awarded the Certificate of Merit of the Chief of the Central Party Office.
