Vietnam - Finland sign a series of documents on technology, aviation, and cybersecurity cooperation

Within the framework of the official visit to the Republic of Finland, on the afternoon of October 21, local time, in the capital Helsinki, General Secretary To Lam and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation met with typical Finnish enterprises.

According to VNA, at the meeting, General Secretary To Lam was pleased to announce that within the framework of this official visit, the relationship between the two countries has been upgraded to a Strategic Partnership. This is a great opportunity to promote economic, trade and investment relations, which are important pillars in bilateral cooperation to new heights.

The General Secretary was particularly impressed by the spirit of open and substantial cooperation of Finnish enterprises - partners with world-leading experience in innovation, green technology and effective governance. That makes both sides more confident in the future of cooperation between the two countries.

The General Secretary encouraged the business communities of the two countries to continue to increase exchanges, connections, investment and cooperation in areas where both sides have similar strengths and needs such as renewable energy, clean industry, environmental technology, forest resource management, education, science - technology and innovation.

The main enterprises are a vivid bridge to deepen the Vietnam - Finland cooperation relationship, contributing to creating sustainable and practical values for both economies.

Memorandum of Understanding between the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (Viettel) and ICEYE Group (in Finland) on research and development of satellite technology for Earth observation; Memorandum of Understanding between the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (Viettel) and Nokia Group (in Finland) on cooperation in digital transformation, development of new-generation telecommunications infrastructure in Vietnam; accelerating the application of 5G/6G, Open RAN, AI, Data Center;

Memorandum of Understanding between Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) and Nokia Group (in Finland) on cooperation in developing VNPT's radio access network in Hanoi, border provinces and the South in the period of 2025-2026;

Memorandum of Understanding between Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) and F-Secure Group (in Finland) on cooperation in strategy in protecting people from cyber attacks, fighting online fraud and expanding cooperation opportunities to the Asia-Pacific market;

Memorandum of Understanding between Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company and Airways Aviation Group (in Finland) on cooperation in training high-quality human resources for the international aviation industry, promoting new cooperation between Vietnam and Finland.

Airways Aviation will cooperate with Vietjet Aviation Academy (VJAA) to implement pilot training programs in Europe, in compliance with the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the European Union Aviation Safety Authority (EASA) and the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV).

On the same afternoon, General Secretary To Lam and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation visited the Experience Center - Nokia Group Headquarters in Finland.
