On the afternoon of April 14, at the Party Central Committee's headquarters, right after the official welcome ceremony, General Secretary To Lam conducted talks with General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping.
According to the Vietnam News Agency, at the talks, the two sides agreed that the relationship between the two parties and the two countries over the past time had many great development steps in the direction of "6 more".
The two sides agreed to maintain regular exchange, upgrade the strategic dialogue mechanism between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Defense - Police to the Minister; Strengthen actual cooperation in the fields, establish a railway cooperation committee between the two governments to promote rail cooperation; Well organized the activities of "The year of China -Vietnam Humanities Exchange 2025", strengthening the social foundation; more closer multilateral coordination; Control and resolve satisfactorily disagreements.
General Secretary To Lam suggested that the two sides maintain regularly exchanging strategies, strengthening the cooperation of the two parties and in key areas, often diplomacy, defense and security; promote strategic transport infrastructure connection, offer the best incentives on preferential loans, technology transfer and human resource training, the highest efforts in implementing to ensure the progress of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project.
General Secretary To Lam suggested that the two sides promote cooperation in digital transformation and science and technology to become a new "bright spot" in Vietnam -China relations, strengthen cooperation in the field of key technology; promote more balanced trade, higher quality investment, focus on deploying in Vietnam large and typical projects and works, supporting Hanoi and large cities to solve the problem of air pollution.

The General Secretary and President Xi Jinping proposed that the two sides persevere in deepening the strategic trust, going into the exchange of the country's management experience, enriching the theory and socialist reality, promoting the socialist cause of the two countries; well perform cooperation between the "belt and road" initiative with the framework of "two corridors, one belt";
Welcome more Vietnamese goods exported to China's large market, encouraging more and more Chinese businesses to invest in Vietnam; Strengthen cooperation in production chain and supply chain, expand cooperation in the field of high technology such as 5G, artificial intelligence, Internet of things, semiconductor chips, green development, creative science and technology creativity into actual production power;
Deploying rich and diverse humanitarian exchanges, organizing friendship and exchange activities, better telling the story of the friendship between the people of the two countries. In the next 3 years, China invites Vietnamese youth to participate in the Red Journey to study the history of the two countries.
After the talks, the two General Secretary saw and heard the introduction of 45 cooperation agreements in many areas signed between departments, ministries, branches and localities of the two countries, showing the rich and comprehensive results that the two sides achieved during this visit.
In the evening of the same day, General Secretary To Lam and Member of the Politburo, President Luong Cuong organized a solemn reception to welcome General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping to visit the State level to Vietnam.
