On the evening of January 20, at Ho Guom Theater - Hanoi, the Central Organizing Committee held a ceremony to announce and award the 9th National Press Award on Party building (named Golden Hammer and Sickle) - 2024.
Attending the award ceremony were General Secretary To Lam; Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu; Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organizing Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award Le Minh Hung.
Also attending were members of the Politburo, members of the Secretariat, members of the Party Central Committee, and award-winning authors.
According to the Organizing Committee, by the time of closing the submission of entries for the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award, the Standing Agency of the Award (Party Building Magazine) had received a total of 2,544 works, an increase of 328 works (14.8%) compared to 2023.
Works participating in the 2024 Golden Hammer and Sickle Award at central and local press agencies continue to be rich in topics and genres and are present in all provinces and cities across the country.
Central press agencies actively participated with many high-quality works. This year, the local press sector has many press agencies that invested heavily, the quality of works is consistent and there is clear progress compared to previous years.
Most of the works have closely followed hot issues, outstanding events, and key tasks of the political system and the country. Many works have deeply reflected current issues of Party building and rectification work...
The new feature in the content of the press works participating in the 2024 Golden Hammer and Sickle Award is that they vividly and promptly reflect the events and political activities of the Party such as the 9th and 10th Central Conferences and the resolutions of the Central Executive Committee (term XIII)...
After General Secretary To Lam wrote a number of articles expressing the guiding ideology and strategic thinking for the Party to lead the country into a new era - the era of national growth, many issues and topics were raised for journalists to think about and create more works.
The works reflect a new vision and spirit in leadership, direction and management of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense - security and foreign affairs, building the Party and political system, and continuing to improve the Party's leadership and governing capacity.
The final jury met, discussed enthusiastically and democratically and voted by secret ballot, selecting the best works from 137 finalists to award prizes, including 6 A Prizes, 12 B Prizes, 18 C Prizes, 10 Special Prizes and 40 Encouragement Prizes.
At the award ceremony, the series of articles: "Fighting waste, making the country grow strongly" (5 articles) by the group of authors: Tran Van Vuong, Hoang Lam, Trinh Minh Quan, Ngo Van Cuong won the Encouragement Prize.
The series of articles: "Fighting against plots to downgrade the role of the working class and Vietnamese trade unions" (3 articles) by the group of authors: Tran Van Vuong and Bui Viet Lam entered the final round.
