On March 12, 2026, Grab switchboard received a complaint from car booking account owner D. L. about his personal information and information of people traveling with him on Grab cars being spread on some social networking sites.
After verifying and comparing information, Grab believes that there is a basis to determine that the driver partner collected, used and disclosed personal information of passengers for personal purposes other than picking up passengers and providing services.
This act has violated the Code of Conduct that the driver's partner has committed to implement, Grab's security policy and legal regulations on personal data protection.
On March 12, 2026 and then on March 13, 2026, Grab contacted, exchanged and requested the driver partner to stop the violation to be able to continue operating on the Grab platform.
