Digital infrastructure and urbanization serve the people
On the morning of July 14, the 1st Congress of the Tam Ky Ward Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, officially took place. This is one of 10 commune and ward-level congresses selected by the Da Nang City Party Committee to draw experience from general direction throughout the city.
With a clear orientation, Tam Ky aims to build the ward into a smart, dynamic and livable urban area in the southern part of the city.
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Ngo Xuan Thang - Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee - emphasized: "The three regions need to promote the role of the former administrative - economic center of Quang Nam to make a breakthrough, become a new model of development in urban governance, digital transformation, high-quality services, creating a smart and humane city".
In the 2020-2025 term, Tam Ky ward achieved an economic growth rate of over 10% per year, with a total production value of over VND 2,300 billion. Along with that, urban planning and embellishment work has been promoted, gradually forming a modern, unique urban area.
The highlight in the 2025-2030 term orientation is the goal of building a smart city - with people as the center of service. The ward sets a target of over 80% of people using online public services by the end of the term; the entire street is managed with urban civilization; the technical and technological infrastructure system is invested synchronously and modernized.
Innovation in governance, improving government efficiency
With the foundation of being a provincial-level administrative center in the past, Tam Ky ward has special advantages in terms of high population density, relatively synchronous infrastructure, and quality human resources. This is a favorable condition for the development of high-value value-added service industries such as finance - banking, education, high-quality healthcare and information technology.
Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Ngo Xuan Thang suggested that the locality "needs to have breakthrough solutions, boldly applying new technology in management, and encouraging investment in key areas of the urban economy. At the same time, developing trade - services into a spearhead industry, playing a key growth driver role in the southern area of the city".
In addition to socio-economic development, Party building and government restructuring are identified as key factors. Tam Ky Ward currently has 100% of cadres and civil servants with university degrees or higher; many key cadres have worked at provincial agencies, and are the core force in governance reform and modernization of the apparatus.
Chairman of Tam Ky Ward People's Committee - Mr. Do Van Minh - said: "We focus on overcoming shortcomings in the urbanization process, applying technology in administrative management, providing public services, thereby improving the quality of service for people and businesses".
At the congress, the Da Nang City Party Committee announced the decision to appoint personnel at the Party Committee level for the 2025-2030 term. The Ward Party Committee Executive Committee consists of 27 comrades; the Standing Committee has 10 comrades. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan holds the position of Secretary of the Ward Party Committee; the Deputy Secretaries are Mr. Phan Ba Hoi and Mr. Do Van Minh.
