A complete Tet for people in border areas
Held annually on the occasion of Lunar New Year, “Spring Border Guard warms the hearts of the villagers” is a symbol of the affection, responsibility and gratitude of the Border Guard officers and soldiers for the ethnic people living in the border areas. This year, the program was organized with the focus on Pa Tan commune, Sin Ho district, Lai Chau province, an area with many difficulties but rich in pride in the tradition of preserving and protecting the Fatherland's borders.
The program was attended by Comrade Luong Cuong - Politburo member, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Also attending were Politburo member, Minister of National Defense General Phan Van Giang; Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc; Party Central Committee member, Central Military Commission member, Border Guard Commander Lieutenant General Le Duc Thai; Party Central Committee member, Lai Chau Provincial Party Secretary Giang Pao My; representatives of leaders of Central Committees, Ministries and Branches; representatives of the Chief of the General Staff, Chief of the General Department of Politics, Heads of General Departments, agencies under the Ministry of National Defense; Chief of Military Region II Command, Border Guard Command and leaders of Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee. In particular, the program also had the participation of military units in Military Region II, along with Party committees, authorities and thousands of people in border areas of Lai Chau, Lao Cai, Dien Bien provinces...
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, President Luong Cuong sent his warmest regards and best wishes to all officers and soldiers of the Border Guard, and people of all ethnic groups in border and island areas.
Speaking to the Party Committee, government, cadres, soldiers of the armed forces and local people, President Luong Cuong highly appreciated the role of the locality, despite many difficulties, it still regularly grasps the situation, ensures absolute safety for political, economic and cultural events of the province, maintains a favorable environment for the province to build and develop. He acknowledged, praised and congratulated the results and achievements that the Party Committee, government, army and people of Lai Chau province have united in their efforts, overcome difficulties and challenges to achieve in the past time.
The President emphasized that the Party Committee and the government of Lai Chau province have done a good job of disseminating and popularizing the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws to cadres, soldiers and people in the border areas, especially raising awareness among the people in implementing the movement of the entire people participating in protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security. Actively and proactively participating with the locality in building and consolidating the political system at the grassroots level, developing the socio-economy, eliminating hunger and reducing poverty with many typical, practical and effective programs and models; actively participating in effectively implementing national target programs.
The President shared that in remote border areas, where life is still difficult, Tet is not only a joy but also a hope for sharing and love. With that humane spirit, the program "Spring Border Guards Warm the Hearts of the Villagers" has become a meaningful bridge, bringing a full spring to the people in the border areas of the Fatherland.
This is truly a great festival for the border people with many meaningful spring welcoming activities, warming the hearts of the locals, bringing joy to the border people every time Tet and Spring come. This is also an opportunity for the border army and people to further strengthen solidarity, unite the army and people as one, contributing to building a strong national border defense.
At the program, President Luong Cuong and the delegation with the participation of organizations and accompanying enterprises presented 30 breeding cows, 10 houses of gratitude "Warm houses for the poor in the border area", 450 Tet gifts to poor families, 752 scholarships to students in the program "Helping children go to school - Adopted children of Border Guard stations" and poor students overcoming difficulties; organized "0 dong" booths, folk games such as tug of war, xoe dance, throwing con; free medical examination and health consultation for 500 people; art exchange night...
Spreading human values, strengthening the strength of great solidarity
Contributing to the success of the program “Warm Border Spring for Locals”, the support of organizations and businesses is extremely important. This year, Agribank continues to make its mark with noble gestures, contributing to bringing a complete Tet to the people in the border areas.
Joining the "Warm Border Spring for the People 2025", Agribank presented breeding cows to the people along with nearly 1,200 gifts worth 700 million VND.
