Bao Viet - the first Vietnamese enterprise in the Finance - Insurance industry to be recognized in the sustainable enterprise ranking in the Dow Jones index

In December 2024, Bao Viet once again made its mark when it was recognized in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) Ranking, through the results of the Global Sustainability Assessment (CSA) conducted by S&P Global.

To be evaluated in the DJSI ranking, Bao Viet needs to meet strict requirements on many factors such as: corporate financial health, stock value, transparency, sustainable business operations...

Being in the international ranking has demonstrated the value and health of a leading enterprise such as Bao Viet in general and the attraction of BVH shares in particular, thereby raising the level of a leading enterprise operating in the financial - insurance sector in Vietnam.

In 2024, Bao Viet has improved 3 places in the assessment table compared to 2023 and achieved a score 67% higher than other enterprises in the insurance industry group (including 234 qualified global enterprises). Bao Viet's outstanding improvement efforts this year include: Greenhouse gas emission reduction strategy, Risk management, Safety and Security management in information technology; Assessing key business issues and employee care activities, customer care. These improvements have been highly appreciated by S&P Global experts and included in the database for consideration of potential sustainable investment portfolios.

S&P Global's CSA Index provides professional assessments from S&P Global experts as well as assessments based on exclusive data warehouses, thereby creating the basis for including business records in the World's Most Famous Sustainable Development Index - Dow Jones Sustainable Development Index (DJSI).

By being recognized in DJSI, Bao Viet not only continues to consolidate its position as a leading insurance company in Vietnam but is also a typical representative of the sustainable development of the national business sector in the international arena.

The Dow Jones indices Sustainability Index (DJSI) is a global standard system dedicated to sustainable development to rank the world's leading companies based on RobecoSAM's analysis and S&P Dow Jones indices' assessment method based on the free-float adjusted market capitalization value and ESG criteria (Environmental, social and governance standards).

CSA is an index conducted annually revolving around the sustainable operations of thousands of qualified enterprises around the world.

S&P's Global Enterprise Sustainability Assessment (CSA) also allows investors to evaluate the performance of businesses according to ESG standards including Economy, Environment and Society.

With the cooperation of S&P Global ESG Research, an organization consisting of leading experts in ESG data research and analysis, businesses meeting the DJSI Index will also be included in the potential sustainable investment portfolio for investors interested.
