BSR's survey and working trip to Doosan Vina is an opportunity for the two businesses to meet, learn, connect and cooperate, promote products, goods, services and seek opportunities to use each other's products and services.
Deputy General Director Mai Tuan Dat believes that with its potential, experience and advantages, Doosan Vina and BSR will have many opportunities to cooperate in the Dung Quat Oil Refinery Upgrade and Expansion Project; cooperation in the fields of maintenance and repair, mechanical equipment, research and development and other services.
Doosan Vina General Director Kim Hyo Tae introduced the development potential of Doosan Vina. Over the years, Doosan Vina has become a supplier of heavy industrial equipment for major manufacturers in the world and Korea such as Samsung, Hyundai, and some companies in Europe and the US.
By June 2025, Doosan Vina is aiming to reach an average output of 60,000 tons of equipment per year. According to General Director Kim Hyo Tae, Doosan Vina is highly appreciated by customers for its experience and capacity in manufacturing specialized mechanical equipment and products such as boilers, seawater treatment equipment, and giant cranes.
Currently, Doosan Vina is also manufacturing equipment for oil refineries and chemical plants. From there, Doosan Vina believes that it will promote cooperation between BSR and Doosan Vina in areas where both sides have strengths.
At the meeting, BSR introduced the progress and cooperation opportunities with Doosan Vina in the Dung Quat Refinery Expansion and Upgrade project. Currently, Dung Quat Refinery has been operating for more than 15 years, most of the equipment has passed its design life and is in need of replacement.
With its strength as a world-leading mechanical manufacturer, Doosan Vina can cooperate with BSR in improving the mechanical reliability of equipment in Dung Quat Refinery.
The two sides also introduced, learned about and discussed potential cooperation in the field of maintenance and repair such as manufacturing boilers, pressure vessels, processing and manufacturing new maintenance and repair equipment, heat exchange equipment and pipelines in NMLD.
Speaking at the meeting, BSR Deputy General Director Mai Tuan Dat acknowledged that BSR and Doosan Vina have the advantage of being very close geographically, so when cooperating on any project, Doosan Vina does not waste time transporting equipment, which will help BSR speed up progress, ensure safety and quality of the project.
Therefore, Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company believes that with its capacity and experience in manufacturing equipment for many refineries around the world, Doosan Vina hopes to pay more attention to BSR's projects to accompany and provide high-quality services to BSR. The two sides agreed to hold more in-depth, more frequent, and more specific meetings to discuss cooperation contents.
