This is the fourth consecutive year HDBank has participated in the prestigious ranking organized by Nhip Cau Dau Tu Magazine, reflecting a consistently implemented sustainable development strategy, effectively linking business growth, modern governance and responsibility to the community.
The award is a recognition of HDBank's continuous efforts in integrating ESG (Environment - Society - Governance) criteria into business operations, corporate governance and social responsibility; and reflects the bank's commitment to accompanying Vietnam's sustainable development goals and international standards.
Over the years, HDBank has built a development strategy based on three pillars: sustainable finance, human development and spreading community values.
In the field of sustainable finance, HDBank is one of the pioneering banks promoting green credit in Vietnam. From 2019 to the end of 2025, the bank disbursed more than 42,000 billion VND for green sectors such as renewable energy, green buildings, low-emission agriculture, green transportation and projects contributing to the transition to a low-carbon economy. In 2025 alone, HDBank disbursed more than 10,800 billion VND for green credit, an increase of 28% compared to the previous year.
HDBank is also one of the pioneering financial institutions in implementing greenhouse gas emission inventory according to the GHG Protocol international standard, including Scope 3 emissions, gradually improving carbon management capacity and towards the goal of net zero emissions (Net Zero). In parallel, the bank continuously promotes the digitization of operating procedures, reduces the use of single-use paper and plastic, expands the application of renewable energy and energy saving initiatives throughout the system.
In the social aspect, HDBank continues to affirm the role of a responsible business to the community. In 2025, the bank allocated 139 billion VND for social security programs nationwide, focusing on the fields of education, health, supporting the poor, developing rural infrastructure and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.
Through the program "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", HDBank and partners have contributed to building nearly 2,600 houses for people in difficult circumstances. The bank also continues to accompany the Vietnam Children's Fund, Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, scholarship programs for poor and studious students, and many other community development activities.
In particular, the free eye surgery program for the poor sponsored by HDBank has been maintained continuously for 20 years, bringing light to more than 18,000 patients nationwide, becoming one of the typical humanitarian activities of the bank.
In addition to contributions to the community, HDBank is also highly appreciated for developing human resources and a sustainable working environment. The bank currently has more than 18,000 employees, of which the proportion of female workers accounts for 57%, the proportion of female managers is over 43%. In 2025, HDBank implemented more than 1,000 training programs with nearly 140,000 participants, focusing on the fields of technology, AI, risk management and ESG. HDBank is also the only bank in Vietnam to be honored by HR Asia as "Best Place to Work in Asia" for 8 consecutive years.
Persistent efforts in ESG practice have helped HDBank continuously be recognized by prestigious domestic and international organizations. In the period 2025-2026, the bank made its mark with many international awards in ESG, green finance, corporate governance and is one of the Vietnamese banks pioneering in successfully mobilizing green capital from leading financial institutions in the world such as IFC, FMO and BII.
