HDBank (HoSE: HDB) continues to be honored in the Top 50 Best Listed Companies in Vietnam 2026 at the Forbes Vietnam Business Forum, held on September 17 in Ho Chi Minh City.

This year's event marks the imprint of leading enterprises alongside the shift of the Vietnamese capital market.

This is the 14th year Forbes Vietnam has implemented the ranking, based on a multi-layered assessment process of business efficiency, profitability, asset quality, governance and sustainable development prospects. For the banking industry, specific criteria include ROE, ROA, NIM, CIR, credit quality, risk provisioning, growth rate and capitalization scale.

According to Forbes Vietnam, what makes the difference of businesses in the list is not only in scale, but also in the ability to maintain sustainable profits, use capital effectively and stand firm through fluctuating cycles.

Continuing to be in the Top 50 extending HDBank's many-year journey is recognized by Forbes Vietnam in the top listed enterprise group. By the end of June 2026, the bank's total assets exceeded 1 million billion VND; pre-tax profit reached 13,202 billion VND, up 31.1% over the same period; ROE reached 25.4% - top in the industry, CIR at 24.93%.

New standards in the new capital cycle

With the theme "Decoding Capital Flow", the Forbes Vietnam Business Forum 2026 takes place in the context of the Vietnamese stock market facing an important turning point. The story is not only about the ability to attract more capital, but also the requirement to build a market with depth, transparency and sufficient capacity to lead medium and long-term capital for the economy.

Within the framework of the forum, Mr. Kim Byoungho, Chairman of HDBank's Board of Directors, participated in a high-level discussion session with domestic and international experts and business leaders. The exchange content focused on new standards of the capital market, prospects for upgrading, development of Vietnam International Finance Center and the ability to transform capital flows into productivity, market share and long-term value.

These are also increasingly clear requirements for listed companies in the new period. Institutional investors not only look at revenue or profit growth in a year, but also assess cash flow quality, capital utilization efficiency, balance sheet sustainability, risk management capacity and strategy implementation ability through many cycles.

According to the roadmap confirmed by FTSE Russell, Vietnam will officially move from a frontier market to a secondary emerging market from September 21, 2026. HDB belongs to the group of 27 Vietnamese stocks included in FTSE Global All Cap in the first restructuring phase, thereby expanding access to international capital flows according to the index. Before the upgrade took effect, HDB also emerged in the group of bank stocks attracting strong interest from foreign investors, continuously recording large net buying value in recent sessions.

Expanding capacity to connect global capital flows

The contents discussed at the forum also reflect the journey HDBank is pursuing: consolidating financial internal strength and domestic governance, while expanding connections with international institutions and financial centers.

Recently, HDBank successfully mobilized a social capital loan worth 721 million USD, about 60% higher than the initial expected scale.

Previously, the bank attracted many green and sustainable capital sources from IFC, ADB, Proparco, DEG, FMO, BII, JICA, SMBC and international partners; and successfully issued 100 million USD of green bonds.

HDBank's financial and governance capacity continues to be recognized by international credit rating organizations. Fitch Ratings for the first time rated the bank's long-term credit rating at BB-, "Stable" outlook, with an internal strength rating of bb- in the highest group among Vietnamese banks; Moody's raised HDBank's rating outlook from "Stable" to "Optim".

HDBank is currently promoting a plan to issue a maximum of 500 million USD of international bonds, aiming to list on the London Stock Exchange (LSE).

As a founding member of the Vietnam International Finance Center in Ho Chi Minh City, last July in London, HDBank participated in promoting cooperation with LSE, and at the same time with Vietjet and Dragon Capital established a framework to connect international resources for infrastructure projects and growth sectors in Vietnam.

From Forbes Vietnam's recognition to the ability to access large-scale international capital sources, improve creditworthiness and connect with leading financial centers, HDBank is gradually expanding its development space in the global capital market. This is the basis for the bank to diversify resources, increase growth potential and create long-term value for customers, shareholders and investors in the new development cycle of the economy.
