On the afternoon of July 26, 2024, at the headquarters of Hansae Vietnam Co., Ltd. (located in Northwest Cu Chi Industrial Park, Ho Chi Minh City), Mr. Kim Sang Ryur - General Director of Hansae Vietnam Co., Ltd. - represented the company to award 100 million VND for the family of Ms. NTPT, a former worker at Factory 12B of the company, who died in a traffic accident on the way to work.
Information from Hansae Vietnam Co., Ltd. said that on the morning of January 19, 2024, on the way from home (Hau Nghia Town, Duc Hoa District, Long An Province) to Hansae Vietnam Co., Ltd. to work, Ms. NTPT had a traffic accident. Due to her serious injuries, Ms. NTPT died at the scene of the accident.
According to the announcement of the results of handling the information of the Police Investigation Agency of Duc Hoa District Police and the accident investigation minutes of the Inspector of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Long An province, the cause of the accident was because Ms. NTPT did not do anything. driving leads to accidents and deaths when going from home to work.
Clause 2, Article 39 of the Law on Occupational Safety and Hygiene stipulates the employer's responsibilities for compensation and benefits in specific cases when employees have occupational accidents as follows: The employee has an accident when traveling from the place of residence to the place of work or from the place of work to the place of residence according to a reasonable route and time, if it is caused by someone else's fault or the person causing the accident cannot be determined. then the employer shall subsidize the employee according to the provisions of Clause 5, Article 38 of this Law.
Based on the above regulations, and the conclusion in the Investigation Minutes of the Inspector of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Long An province, it shows that Ms. NTPT is at fault in the accident, so the company is not subject to subsidies.
However, because Ms. NTPT has worked for the company for 17 years and 2 months, is a single mother with 2 young children, and is in a difficult situation, the Board of Directors of Hansae Vietnam Co., Ltd. discussed and decided to support 100 million VND. for Ms. NTPT's relatives (equivalent to 12 months of benefits). The Board of Directors of Hansae Vietnam Co., Ltd. hopes that with this amount of money, we can support and help Ms. NTPT's 2 children have a stable life and study with peace of mind.
Previously, the Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Hansae Vietnam Co., Ltd. also organized a campaign and raised more than 23 million VND contributed by employees in the company and gave it to Ms. NTPT's family.
From Lunar New Year 2022 up to now, Hansae Vietnam Co., Ltd. has paid an additional Tet bonus (called lucky money) to all employees in the Company depending on their seniority at the company, with levels starting from 100,000 VND. (for new workers working less than 2 months) to 2.3 million VND/person. The total amount of money the company spent in lucky money during the 2024 Lunar New Year is nearly 4 billion VND.
