Under the agreement, the two parties aim to develop human resources, expand educational initiatives and promote research and innovation in the semiconductor industry. Infineon will actively contribute to the educational programs of the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering by providing guest lectures, sharing insights from industry experts and supporting laboratory courses. Infineon engineers will also volunteer to provide guidance to the school's students to gain hands-on experience with advanced semiconductor technologies.
In addition, Infineon offers students internship opportunities and participates in career fairs, orientation sessions and lectures that inspire the young engineers of tomorrow. These activities provide students with a clear path from academics to the real world, equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to develop themselves in a growing high-tech sector.
In addition, a key highlight of the partnership between the two parties is currently research and development (R&D) cooperation. Infineon and the university will collaborate on joint research projects aimed at addressing important challenges in the industry and in line with mutual interests. Students at all levels of study: bachelor, master and doctoral will have the opportunity to carry out their final theses with the support of Infineon, combining theoretical knowledge with practical application.
This cooperation will help Vietnamese students bridge the gap between research, academia and real-world industry needs, promote innovation and foster the development of highly applicable solutions in real-world work.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Huu Thanh, Rector of the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, said: “The School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is proud to continue our partnership with Infineon, a global technology leader. This allows us to bring the latest industry advances and innovations into our classrooms and laboratories, giving our students the opportunity to gain the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the semiconductor industry. The School and Infineon look forward to the collaboration between the two parties bringing innovative solutions that contribute to important technological advances in Vietnam.”
The deepening partnership between the two parties marks an important milestone in the 5-year journey of operation and development in Vietnam, reaffirming Infineon's commitment to developing the country's semiconductor ecosystem, promoting innovation and progress in science and technology.
